Systematic Abuse & Ritual Abuse

Ritual Abuse is a problem which some say never was, and which some say is much more pervasive than most would want to believe - at any rate, sufficient cases have been reported and investigated to have warranted specific legislation against acts of Ritual Abuse in some states. Ritual Abuse is quite often associated with extreme family dysfunction and is also occasionally quite criminal in nature, above and beyond the simple fact of being abuse.

Dissociation Trauma and Dissociative Disorders

Those who escape from cults or from ritual abuse carry with them scars that often do not show, but which are for their invisibility nonetheless crippling, often devastating. Though society often mocks and derides those who have become "crazy" through some chemical imbalance which can be treated with modern medications, the survivors of Cult and Ritual Abuse are oten shattered into multiple personalities, or reduced to dissociative states. These can be among the most crippling of mental infirmities.

DividedHearts: DID/MPD Info & Support Web contains articles and workbooks, live chat, stress and suicide support, and a special place for kids and "littles".

Please be advised that the authors of these pieces are more-than somewhat controversial.

Survivors

An alarming indicator of the pervasiveness, indeed the alarming scope, of Ritual Abuse, are the groups of survivors of occasionally-horrific and indeed Satanic Ritual Abuse, who gather together in real or virtual spaces to exchange information on healing and justice.

and others who believe that Ritual Abuse is a "myth" or very rare

False Accusation Resources.

Ritual Abuse (RA). This site notes the lack of hard evidence, but does note that one reasons for this is the fact that Ritual Abuse or Sadistic Abuse generally does not occur in public, and is generally performed within a context that lends itself to secrecy and disposal of evidence. UseNet Support Groups

Anyone considering participating in any UseNet discussions relating to past or present issues under investigation or litigation should only post under untraceable aliases, secure anonymization, or anonymizing moderation by a trusted and secure route! Remember, UseNet is open to all, and traverses the entire planet. It is extremely common for opposing litigants or hostile parties to "lurk" or "troll" UseNet, particularly in victims' newsgroups, looking for prejudicial or compromising information.

Indeed, one is well-advised to avoid the UseNet newsgroups entirely, except as a means of gathering information (which should be taken with a grain of salt, at least!) on web-sites, or listservs which may provide a more-secure conduit for internetworked support groups.

Before posting to these newsgroups, you should always try to find and read the FAQ (Frequently-Asked Questions).

alt.sexual.abuse.recovery. Read the FAQ.
alt.support.dissociation. Read the FAQ.
alt.abuse.transcendence. Read the FAQ.
alt.support.ex-cult. See their website.
